Origin story

Ozella Grant and her brother bought the building in 1971 after the home their family had used for two generations closed with a week's notice. Neither of them had planned on funeral work. Her grandson is the director now, and the second Tuesday grief meeting has run without a break since 1979.

Why families choose us

Our chapel was built for singing. That sounds like a small thing until you have sat through a homegoing in a room that swallowed the organ, so we say it plainly: the room holds two hundred and twenty, the choir loft holds thirty, and the sound is good. The hall downstairs seats a hundred and thirty for the repast, and families are welcome to bring their own food or to use one of the caterers we know. We are a veteran-serving home, so honors, the flag and the headstone application are things we do weekly rather than look up. Our grief ministry meets here on the second Tuesday of every month, and it is open whether or not we buried your person.
