Origin story
Hector and Alma Delgado ran a taqueria on 22nd Street for nine years and closed it in 2016 for the reason most taquerias close, which is the rent. The catering half had always been the profitable half, so that is the half they kept.
Why families choose us
A taquiza is two people, a comal and a folding table, and it will feed eighty people better than any buffet line you have paid more for. We bring it to garages, church halls, parking lots and back yards, and we cook in front of your guests for as long as they keep coming. For the day of a funeral we more often do the quiet version: birria, arroz, frijoles and a tray of pan dulce delivered to the house before anyone gets back from the cemetery, and nobody from us in the room. Either way you tell us the count and we cook ten percent over it, because we have never once seen a family with leftovers regret them. Everything can be arranged in Spanish, and Sundays cost the same as any other day.

How many people does a taquiza need to be worth it?
Forty and up. Below that the delivered comida costs you less and tastes the same, and we will tell you so on the phone.
Can you deliver before we are home from the cemetery?
That is what we do most often. Give us a key-holder or a neighbor and the food is warm on the table when the cars pull up.
