Origin story
Priya Raman spent six years as a funeral director watching families buy rooms and cars they did not want because the simple option was never on the table until they asked twice. She opened this in 2020 to put it first.
Why families choose us
There is no chapel here and no casket showroom, because we do one thing. You call or fill in the form, we collect your person, we file the permit with the county, and we bring the ashes back to you or to whoever you name. Most families never come to the building at all. Families who do want to be present are welcome to be. Witness cremation runs on weekday mornings and takes about half an hour; up to six people can be in the room, and you may say whatever you want to say. We can divide ashes between family members, ship them where they need to go, and tell you honestly which lakefront and forest-preserve scattering you may legally do here and which you may not.

Common questions
How long until we have the ashes?
Seven to ten days in most cases. The county permit is the part we cannot hurry, and we will tell you where yours is whenever you ask.
Can we watch the cremation?
Yes. Witness cremation runs weekday mornings, up to six people, and takes about half an hour. Say what you want to say — nobody will rush you.
Can you send ashes to family in another country?
We ship regularly. Each country wants slightly different paperwork, so tell us where they are going and we will start it while the permit is pending.
