About this business
Origin story
The group has existed in some form since 1998, when four cousins started playing at family parties in Archer Heights. The current seven have been together since 2019, and three of them are the sons of the original four.
Why families choose us
Las despedidas se cantan. A family that wants mariachi at a funeral usually wants three separate things: the Mass, the graveside, and the hours afterward when people are eating and the songs get louder. We do all three, and we price them separately so nobody pays for a part they did not want. At the cemetery we play what your family asks for. Amor Eterno at almost every service, Las Mañanitas if the day would have been their birthday, Volver Volver later on when the mood turns, and hymns in the church if the parish allows instruments. Seven of us, trumpets, violins, guitarron and vihuela, in full traje unless you tell us otherwise. We are used to churches on the South and Southwest Sides and we know which ones need us to play from the steps.

Can you play inside the church?
Where the parish allows instruments, yes, and we know most of them here. Where it does not, we play on the steps as people come out.
Can we choose the songs?
Always. Send us the list when you book and tell us which one was theirs — we will hold that one for the moment you want it.
